Plant Controller

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated professional to join our team in Äänekoski as a


The Plant Controller will be responsible for helping to improve the understanding of the function with other managers in the plant.  In this role you will have overall responsible for all aspects of finance and will act as a business partner to the Operation Director. You will develop, lead and manage the plants performance, to optimize the CMC financial performance and strategic position. You will provide complex and detailed financial analysis and guidance on plant performance to include actual results to forecast, budgets, prior year results and future plans and leads annual budget, financial forecasts, costing as well as the construction of 5 years long term strategy. You will foster and support cost out productivity through meaningful analysis that suggests areas of focus and best ROI to invest productivity resources in the projects with the highest returns. The Plant Controller will report to the Finance Director CMC and dotted line to the Operations Director.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Degree in Accounting (masters or bachelor) or equivalent
  • 5+ years of progressive experience with a General Ledger, cost accounting, variance analysis, planning and budgeting in a manufacturing environment
  • Working experience with US GAAP and Finnish GAAP
  • Ability to translate data analytics into actions to increase the bottom line
  • Good communication skills in English and Finnish
  • Knowledge on ERPs for example SAP is advantage
  • Experience presenting to management and good interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, loyalty, strong ability to work under pressure unevenly distributed workload and good team working skills.
