Procurement Engineer

As a result of continued growth and expansion we are actively recruiting for Procurement Engineer to join our Supply Chain Management function in EMEA.

As a Procurement Engineer you will act as the single point of contact between project /development teams and our procurement organization. You will support all strategic procurement activities in dedicated R&D projects, and also drive VAVE (value analysis and value engineering) and DTC (design to cost) processes by using state of the art methods such as ‘target costing’ and ‘should cost’ analysis. You will also run competitive product benchmark analysis together with Product Management and conduct cost down workshops/follow ups involving internal and external partners such as EMS/JDM.

Your responsibilities will include working with many internal stakeholders and an important part of your role is to organize and run trainings for all relevant functions in areas of cost drivers and procurement processes. You also act as a Key User for support tools and systems for project cost calculation and maintain the cost tracker to objectively assess price developments. As an expert you also support internal stakeholders in organizing, preparing and participating in project related price negotiations. You will also have a chance to contribute to process improvement activities with Group Procurement function and participate in various cross departmental and global projects.

We are looking for a person with a technical background in Electronics and/or Mechatronics and professional experience in the field of Procurement or Procurement Engineering.  You are familiar with cost down tools or clean sheeting tools and have experience in working with suppliers.

You communicate fluently in English and enjoy working with people from different countries and cultures. You are not afraid of putting yourself in stage when it comes to giving presentations or conducting workshops or trainings. It is also important that you have a result-oriented attitude and commitment to quality in everything you do.
